Bonnie Stern is a chef, broadcaster and the bestselling author of 12 cookbooks. For more than a decade, the partnership of Bonnie Stern and the Heart and Stroke Foundation has been instrumental in changing the way Canadians cook. Bonnie’s phenomenally successful HeartSmart cookbooks have bridged the gap between healthy eating and delicious food.
For decades she has shared her love for food and cooking on TV, radio, newspapers, cookbooks and at the venerable Bonnie Stern School of Cooking in Toronto. Bonnie Stern is the recipient of many awards including ones from the Toronto Culinary Guild, the Ontario Hostelry Institute, Cuisine Canada and most notably she is the recipient of the 2007 Premier’s Award. Bonnie Stern’s Essentials of Home Cooking won the coveted International Association of Culinary Professionals’ award. Bonnie was inducted into the Taste Canada Hall of Fame in 2021. She is the 2024 recipient of the Junior League Toronto culinary Trailblazer Award.
